I have booked the Africans for a workshop in the Clubrooms on Thursday 26th March at 7.30pm.
I would like to invite everyone to come along to the workshop run by the elite African athletes that ran this year’s Jimmy’s 10k. I think it is a unique opportunity to hear from athletes who are world class, come from a totally different environment and who I believe could teach us all something about endurance running. The following link will provide a little information about Project Africa Athletics Partnership and Ciaran Collins the Project Africa Athletics manager has said he “will send through full workshop info in advance” so when I get that I will send to you.
I would anticipate considerable interest in this workshop as I intend to invite runners from Murlough, Newcastle, Ballydrain and North Down. Yes it’s a training night but the information gained at this will be invaluable, just to meet and talk with these top athletes.
The Project is a charity and as way of supporting them I would suggest a minimum donation of £5 towards costs be offered on the night. If you are interested in attending can you please let me know at the contact details below?
See you there.
